Obituary

Russell Dean Scofield, 85, of Howe died Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. in his residence.

He was born April 29, 1934, in Plymouth to Merrit and Ruby Kathleen (Carrol) Scofield.

Mr. Scofield served in the U.S. Marines Corp.

He retired from Kirsch in Sturgis, Michigan after 27 years as a production line operator.

Russell was a member of the American Legion Post 73, Sturgis, Michigan.

On September 8, 1956 in First Baptist Church, Garrett he married Patricia Lou Kline. She survives in Howe.

Also surviving are three daughters, Beverly A. Jordan of Wolcottville, Deborah Sue (Robert) Barks of Three Rivers, Michigan, and Barbara Davis of Wolcottville; ten grandchildren, Angelina Gloor, Christopher R. (Christopher E.) Jordan, Felicia R. Bolen, Alexander C. Slone, Jammie (William) Yuhas, Jessica Johnson, David Johnloz, Gregory Scofield, Richard (Amanda) Davis, Jr., and Robert Davis; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Crager of Auburn; and a brother, Herbert Scofield of New Carlisle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Merrit Scofield; and his mother, Ruby Kathleen Saylor.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Howe with Mike Owsley officiating.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is in charge of arrangements.
