Obituary

Russell L. Muscello, Sr., 62, of Adams Lake, Wolcottville died unexpectedly Friday, June 18, 2010, at 4 p.m. in his residence.

Mr. Muscello was a lifetime area resident. He retired after 38 years at Superior Essex in Kendallville.

He was a member of Kendallville Moose Lodge 1301, Rome City Sons of the Legion, and the Kendallville VFW.

He dearly loved his family and enjoyed playing golf.

He was born August 13, 1947, in Fort Wayne to Vincent James and Mary Violet (Dean) Muscello. On March 10, 1979, in Kendallville he married Sandy Mortimore.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy Muscello of Wolcottville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Charles Jordan of Kendallville; a son, Russell L. Muscello, Jr. of Kendallville; a granddaughter and her husband, Shay and Russell Owsley of Noble County; three great grandchildren, Caden Owsley, Noah Owsley, Rebekah Owsley, and a great granddaughter due in August, Isabell Owsley; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Taylor of Indianapolis and Tara Barnes of Alabama; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Paul V. and Monie Muscello of Fort Wayne and Jimmy Stittes of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor G. Scott Pattison of Trinity Church United Methodist, Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Honorary casketbearers will be Wilbur Walkup, Jerry Febles, Rick Randol, Rick Ranney, Ron Ranney, Rick Ranney, Jr., Roger Ranney, Bobby Spillner, Don Rhinesmith, Al Countryman, and Mark Marti.

Active casketbearers will be Chris Palmer, Tracy Palmer, Tab Foust, Bobby Foust, Randy Robbins, Travis Mortimore, and Paul Muscello, II.

Calling is Monday, June 21, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
