Rosemary Hill, 73, of Albion died Monday, January 31, 2011 at 7:15 a.m. in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Kendallville.
Mrs. Hill was a 1955 graduate of Albion Jefferson High School. She was a farm wife. She had also worked at the Kendallville Sears Store in the Credit Department and as a crew chief of catering at the former V & A Restaurant in Kendallville. She helped to manage the Noble County Pork Producers fair stand for several years.
Rosemary enjoyed cooking, canning, and sewing.
She was born October 17, 1937, in DeKalb County to Kenneth & Eva Mae (Hoffman) Donley. On August 25, 1957, she married Max E. Hill. He survives in Albion.
Also surviving is a brother and sister-in-law, Carl & Charlene Donley of Fort Wayne; a sister-in-law, Marna Donley of Fort Wayne; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Garnet Stephens of Hartford City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy J. Hill in 1982; and a brother, Larry Donley.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Rev. G. Scott Pattison of Trinity Church United Methodist in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Albion.
Calling will be Friday, February 4, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to the Noble County Cancer Society.
