Rosemary Jane Fisher, 88, of Avilla, Indiana, died Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born July 17, 1936, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Stanley and Gladys (Bell) Spohr.

On June 28, 1958, in Fort Wayne she married Kermit E. Fisher. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2012.

She, along with her husband and Mildred and J.C. Fisher owned and operated the Fisher Bros. Grocery in Avilla and retired from Colwell General in Kendallville. She and her husband also owned Fisher Realty & Auctioneer in Avilla.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Avilla and the Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Richard Fisher of Avilla who was blessed to be born on his parents first anniversary in 1959; a daughter, Kathleen Reed of Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Kylee (Jun Forger) Wagner of Fort Wayne and Kelsey (Matija Bekic) Reed of Fort Wayne; and a great-grandchild, Rai Forger.

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Fisher; a sister, Betty Lepper; and three brothers, George Spohr, Stanley Spohr, and Donald Spohr.

Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 101 Cherry Street, Avilla.

Rosemary's funeral service will be Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Chris Nelson officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Richard Fisher, Steve Harp, Daniel Johnson, Jun Forger, Matija Bekic, and Rick Ely.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
