Rosemarie Johnson, 68, of Wolcottville died Thursday, May 11, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born October 27, 1954, to James and Betty (Sommers) Carcione.
On September 4, 1971, in Fort Wayne she married David Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson had been employed as an office manager for 25 years with Millers Food and Drug in LaGrange.
She was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City.
Rosemarie enjoyed having her family together for the holidays and special events, preparing her home and meals for them. Above all else her grandchildren were her greatest blessing. She loved spending time with each of them, and enjoying summers at the lake.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Johnson of Wolcottville; a son, Bobby (Beth) Johnson of Howe; a daughter, Kari (Brian) Klein of Huntertown; four grandchildren, Alisha (Ryan) Griswold of Bloomington, Victoria (Josh Dorofee) Johnson of Delaware, Lillian Klein of Huntertown and Carter Klein of Huntertown; three brothers, Steve (Colette) Carcione of Van Wert, Ohio, Curt (Carolyn) Carcione of Big Long Lake, Wolcottville, and Doug Hake of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Kim (Ty) Meyers of Palm Harbor, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Carcione; her mother, Betty Hake; stepfather, Jim Hake; stepmother, Barb Carcione; and an infant sister, Kandy Hake.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Gaspar Catholic Church, 10781 North State Road 9, Rome City, with Fr. Louis Fowoyo officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Preferred memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
