Rosellen M. Howe, 85,of Hudson died Friday, December 21, 2007, at 3 am in Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. She was a lifetime area resident. She was a member of St. Mary of the angels Catholic Church. She enjoyed following her grandchildren's sports, 4-H, and other activities. She was born May 29, 1922, in Avilla to Linus & Ruby (Diehm) Fischer. On August 30, 1931, in Avilla she married L. Russell "Bud" Howe. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1989. Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Maryellen & Floyd Johnson of Laotto, Marlene & Paul Carper of Wolcottville, Martha Howe of Albion, and Deb & Randy Simon of Wolcottvile; four sons and daughters-in-law, Duane & Beverly Howe of Stroh, Donald & Janet Howe of Wolcottville, Michael & Kelly Howe of LaGrange, and Mark & Lisa Howe of Wolcottville; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Retha & Jim Remke of Avilla and Carolyn Miller of Kendallville; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale & Agatha Fischer of Avilla and Francis & Susie Fischer of Avilla. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marion Louise Howe, one granddaughter, one grandson, one great grandson, and two sisters. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, December 24, 2007, at 10:30 am at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church at Big Long Lake, Hudson with Fr. Jim Rose and Fr. Charles "Chuck" Herman officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery at Hudson. Visitation will be Sunday, December 23, 2007, from 1-5 pm at the Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville where Rosary will be recited at 4:30 pm. Preferred memorials are to St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church or to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.youngfamilyfuneralhome.com
