Obituary

Rosella Ruth Younkins, 82, of Wolcottville died Monday, July 13, 2020, at Orchard Pointe in Kendallville.

She was born April 2, 1938, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, to George and Ruth (Richards) Dunmire.

She had worked as a waitress for many years.

Mrs. Younkins moved to this area in 2009, coming from Leechburg, Pennsylvania.

Rosella was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and watching "The Young and the Restless". She dearly loved her time at Wesler Lake or, as she called it, the camp.

Surviving are a daughter, Christine (Chuck) Hollis of Wolcottville; a son, David (Mary) Younkins of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren, Christina (Easton) Mossman and Carol (Taylor) Fulk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Golden "Buzzy" Younkins.

A prayer vigil will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Fr. Osman of St. Gaspar Catholic Church officiating. Private burial will take place.

Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home following social distancing practices. Masks are required to be worn per the LaGrange County Health Department.
