Obituary

Rosella I. Byerley, 78, of Kendallville died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 30, 2008, in the emergency room at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Byerley lived in LaGrange and Noble Counties her entire life. She graduated from South Milford High School. She had worked at Kirkwood's Clothing Store, Singer Sewing Machine Store, and McCray Refrigeration all in Kendallville. She was a member of the Farmerettes Homemakers Club.

She was born June 30, 1930, in LaGrange County to Dale and Frances (Pant) Emerick. In 1952, she married Richard L. Byerley. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1980.

Surviving are two sons, Timothy Byerley of Kendallville and Richard L. Byerley, II of Huntertown; three daughters-in-law, Denise DeMuyt, Linda Roderick, and Cathy Byerley; grandchildren, Michelle Sanderson, Don Sanderson, Aaron Byerley, Kelli Byerley, Jenny Byerley-Fox, Brianna Byerley, Sydney Byerley, Aimee Floyd, Jamie Byerley, and Jonathon Byerley; great grandchildren, Andy Schultz, Molly Schultz, Ellen Sanderson, Logan Sanderson, Maddison Byerley, Dalen Byerley, Blake Byerley, Ethan Prince, Grey Fox, Dylen Fox; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Treva Ernsberger of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by four sons, Lewis Byerley, Bruce Byerley, Ronald Byerley, and Gary Roderick.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 2, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Rev. Paul B. Griebel officiating. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery. Casketbearers will be members of her family.

Calling will be Friday, August 1, 2008, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
