Rosa Valentine Wilson, 97, of Huntington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 5, 2019, at 8:57 p.m. in Parkview Huntington Hospital surrounded by her family
She was born February 14, 1922, in Michigan City to John and Minnie (Brooks) Bell.
On March 17, 1943, she married Ralph J. Wilson. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1973.
Rosa was a homemaker until she started working at Campbell's Mushroom Farm near Brighton. She retired in August, 1987.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Beverly (Jerry) Pelz of Huntington, Nina (Ronald) Pressler of Huntington, and Sandra Rose Wilson of Huntington; a son, Ivan (Millie) Wilson of Angola; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Gertie Wood, Orpha Hochstetler, and Lydia Bell; two brothers, Paul Bell and Junior Bell; a grandson, Joseph Harshman; and a granddaughter, Rhonda Harshman.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 12, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson with the Rev. Dianna Teusch officiating. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery in LaGrange County.
Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren. Active pallbearers are Ronald Pressler, Doug Pressler, Heath Pressler, David Harshman, Tom Seibert, and Jerry Ringham.
Calling is Monday, August 12, 2019, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, Indiana, 46750 for their food pantry or to the First Brethren Church, 245 South Marion Road, Huntington, Indana, 46750 for their quilting class.
