Roger D. Witham, Sr., 73, of LaGrange, Indiana, died Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. He was born March 5, 1948, in Kendallville to James Ernest Witham and Ruth Ellen (Pierce) Worthington. His parents preceded him in death. He honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Witham retired from Dexter Axle in Elkhart where he drove semi. He was a member of Rome City American Legion Post 381. Roger enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing. Watching professional wrestling and NASCAR were his favorite past times. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Ann (Bills) Witham of LaGrange; two sons, Roger D. (Lorenne) Witham, Jr. of Dowagiac, Michigan, and Kevin L. (Shwandra) Witham of LaGrange; and nine grandchildren, Hannah (James) Lucas, Sydney Witham, Austin Towne, Charlee Towne, Eve Witham, Tori Witham, Tristan Witham, Madison Witham, and Morgan Witham. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Pierce, Ralph Witham, Harvey Gill, and Johnny Gill; and a sister, Karen Boyd. Funeral services will be Friday, December 10, 2021, at 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Ben Stuckey of the LaGrange First Church of Christ officiating. Honor guard services will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard and active duty members of the U.S. Marine Corps. Private burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville. Visitation is Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
