Memorial Service: Friday, September 5, 2014, at 10 a.m. in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, 1433 South Main Street, Kendallville *********************************************************************************************** Roger T. Swick, 71, of Kendallville died Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 2:08 p.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He has resided at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Kendallville for the last two years.

Mr. Swick retired as a salesman. He was raised in the Baptist church.

He was born February 16, 1943, in Kokomo to Charles E. and Gladys P. (Kindig) Swick.

On May 11, 1963, in Akron he married Eunice A. Schooley. She survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are a daughter, Dawn (William, Jr.) Vaughn of Reed, Kentucky; two sons, Gregory (Colleen) Swick of Auburn and Roger D. Swick of Kendallville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Couse of Daytona Beach, FL and Nancy Locicero of Florida; and a brother, Kenneth (Sandy) Swick of Carlsbad, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven E. Swick on May 3, 2013; and a sister, Sandy Bennett.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 5, 2014, at 10 a.m. in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, 1433 South Main Street, Kendallville with Pastor Regan Ford of the Kendallville First Church of God officiating.

Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association.
