Obituary

Roger Lee "Jr." Johnson, Jr., 35, of Orland died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born January 27, 1982, in Kendallville to Roger Lee and Jo L. (Mortimore) Johnson.

He was a lifetime area resident and had worked as a mechanic.

Roger enjoyed gardening and fishing and was a very good mechanic. He especially loved being with family and friends.

Surviving are his mother, Jo L. (Jay Becker) Johnson of Kendallville; a daughter, Destiny White of Kendallville; a son, Robert Lee Johnson of Kendallville; a sister, Malerie (Kelsey Surber) Johnson of Auburn; two brothers, Derek (Heather) Johnson of Kendallville and Levi Johnson of Kendallville; his maternal grandmother, Linda Crossley of Kendallville; and his fiancee, Tafi McCann of Orland.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Johnson; maternal grandparents, Jerry Mortimore and Sam Crossley; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Emily Johnson.

Graveside services will be Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville with Pastor Charles Mosley of Harbor of Love Baptist Church in Kendallville officiating. A celebration of life service will follow the graveside service at the home of Linda Crossley, 316 East Vine Street, Kendallville.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
