Rodney L. Sizemore, 71, of Rome City, Indiana and formerly of Texas died unexpectedly Monday, August 19, 2024, at his residence.

He was born September 5, 1952, in Fort Wayne to Ethelbert and Lorine (Sulfridge) Sizemore.

Rodney had worked for over 30 years at U.S. Single Ply in Fort Worth, Texas. After retirement, he then worked as a night security officer at UPS in Texas.

He loved nature, animals, cars and motorcycles. He was a wonderful cook and made the best BBQ in Texas.

Surviving are a daughter, Candi (Keith) Reindl of Midlothian, Texas; a son, Eddie Sizemore of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Ethan Reindl, Edward Sizemore, Jr., Caleb Reindl, and Jovie Reindl; two sisters, Myrlee (Wilton) Gray of Rome City and Cheryl (Charles) Barrett of Leo; a brother, Robert (Jennifer Gilbert) Sizemore of LaGrange; and the mother of his children, Karen Sizemore of Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Alva Jordan, Joseph Sizemore, Nevil Sizemore, and Pauline Sizemore.

Private family services will be held at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North in Wolcottville.

Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery near Wolcottville.
