Rodney L. Parr, 71, of Hudson, Indiana passed away peacefully into Heaven Thursday, November 16, 2023, at his residence with his family at his side.

He was born February 5, 1952, in Garrett to Elwood and Louise (DeGraw) Parr.

Mr. Parr was a train wrecker with Hulcher International and an OTR specialist operator.

He took pride in award winning auto restoration. He was an accomplished drag boat builder and pit crew leader, earning many awards. Rodney was also a founding member of the Michigan Drag Boat Association.

Surviving are two daughters, Melissa (Marv) Cochran of Lowell, Michigan and Gina (Edgar) Tobias of Grand Ledge, Michigan; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Parr of Pittsboro, North Carolina and Gordon Parr of Hudson and he was dearly loved by his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gaylord Parr.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 20, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Stroh Church of Christ, 4540 S 1100 W, Hudson, with Pastor Mike Hamm officiating.

Burial will follow at Wright Cemetery near Stroh.

Visitation will also be on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.
