IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robin Lynne
Haines
August 8, 1954 – March 10, 2024
Robin Lynne Haines, 69, of Sylvan Lake, Rome City, Indiana, died Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
She was born August 8, 1954, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Richard D. Hulett, Sr. and Betty L. (Lane) Hulett.
On February 25, 1972, in Kendallville she married Barry P. Haines.
While we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the incredible mark she left on our lives. Robin will forever be remembered not only as a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, but also as a valuable icon at Max Platt Ford-Lincoln in Kendallville where she knew no stranger. She had been employed with Max Platt Ford-Lincoln for 28 years and received numerous awards for sales accomplishments from Ford.
She was also a real estate agent and was the produce manager for many years at EconoMart in Wolcottville which was her family's business.
Robin was active in the Kendallville Jaycettes and served as president and state board member. She was also a member of Business and Professional Women in Kendallville, Tri Kappa, 100 Women Who Care, served on the East Noble School Board, and was involved in organizing several high school class reunions. She was an accomplished painter and sold many of her acrylic artwork pieces across northeast Indiana. She was an avid Purdue Boilermaker fanatic and loved living at Sylvan Lake. However, her greatest enjoyment was watching her grandson, Stone at his East Noble swim meets and her grandson, Jonah at his Leo hockey games.
Robin loved her family, beloved friends, customers and her community. Her grandsons were her pride and joy. She would say, "They are perfect!"
As a mother, Robin never missed a game, meet, phone call or a chance to support her children. She loved them with her whole heart! She sacrificed anything to make her kid's dreams come true. She was always their biggest fan. She was the cool, fun mom that people wanted to be around. Robin loved visiting her kids at college and may have had more fun than they did sometimes.
Robin was an amazing wife to Barry. She loved and adored him. Through thick and thin, their love never wavered.
If you knew Robin, she probably made you feel special. If she liked what you were wearing, she told you. If she thought you were handsome or beautiful, she told you. She always found and saw the good in everyone.
And, if Robin loved you, you were blessed.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Barry P. Haines of Sylvan Lake; a daughter, Brooke (Chris) Rowe of Kendallville; a son, Dane Haines of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Stone Robinson, Jonah Haines, and Warren Rowe; a sister, Teddi (Bill) Dunham of Tarpon Springs, Florida; and a brother, Richard D. "Rick" (Kris) Hulett, Jr. of Kendallville and Leesburg, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant granddaughter, Lane Robinson; and son-in-law, Dave Robinson.
A memorial service will be Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
A reception will follow from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Legion Post 381 in Rome City.
