Obituary

Robert J. Schram, 97, of Corunna died Friday, March 1, 2019, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

He was born February 1, 1922, in Gladstone, Michigan to Frederick J. and Genevieve (Meyer) Schram.

In 1952, he married Elizabeth Love in Bartow, Florida. She preceded him in death in 1995.

Mr. Schram was an owner of Manpower in Fort Wayne, and was a member of the Kendallville America Legion Post 86.

Robert honorably served in the US Army.

Surviving are a daughter, Ellen (Kelly Jones) Schram of Corunna; a son, P.T. (Beth) Schram of Churubusco; five grandchildren, Roxanne Miller, Tammy Zimmerman, Joe Manafredini, Ben (Jen) Rust, and Claire (Dominic Eugenio) Rust; several great-grandchildren, and his best friend, Mike Ort of Fort Wayne.

He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret J. "Peg" Schram and Leslee Manafredini; and a brother, William Schram.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Post 86, 322 South Main Street, Kendallville.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
