Obituary

Robert Charles Rittermeyer, 78, of Kendallville died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 5:48 p.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He was a lifetime area resident.

Mr. Rittermeyer was self-employed and operated his business as Rittermeyer & Associates.

He was born March 23, 1937, in Kendallville to Robert Henry and Marie Ruth (Veasey) Rittermeyer.

On June 21, 1958, in Kendallville he married Ruth Ann Barker. She survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are a daughter, Gretchen Marie Yurek of Fort Wayne; two sons, Robert Russell Rittermeyer of LaOtto and Adam Douglas (Dani) Rittermeyer of Wolcottville; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a half-sister, Kay Ann (Jerry) Krull of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, John Yurek.

A Memorial Mass for the public will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. in St. Gaspar Catholic Church, Rome City with Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating.

Preferred memorials are to Wounded Warrior Project or the Noble County Humane Society.
