Mynhier

Robert Dean Mynhier, 91, of Wolcottville, Indiana died Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born May 25, 1934, in Wolcottville to Charles Earl and Lois (Lampman) Mynhier.
Mr. Mynhier was a lifetime area resident. He was a 1953 graduate of Wolcottville High School. He received his associate's degree from International Business College in Fort Wayne.
Robert honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, during the Korean War.
Mr. Mynhier had worked at McCray Refrigeration in Kendallville, Dometic in LaGrange, and retired as an SSA Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Wolcottville after 21 years in 2015.
He enjoyed reading his Bible and spending time in his workshop on woodworking projects, especially restoring antique furniture. Bob cherished visiting with family and friends and will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and generous spirit.
Surviving are his twin sister, Roberta Ober of Albion; nine nieces and nephews, Jeff Parker, Jan Parker, Deb Lane, Taimi Shelton, Mark Ober, Marla Ober, Jamie Boyer, Doug Mynhier, and Jim Mynhier; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Leonard Mynhier and Gene and Gloria Mynhier; a sister, Lois "Loraine" Parker; a brother-in-law, Harold Ober; three nieces, Brenda Logan, Vicki (Herendeen) Anderson Ober, and Cathy Mynhier; and a nephew, Steven M. Mynhier.
Military graveside services will be Friday, October 3, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.
Honor guard services will be provided by active-duty members of the U.S. Army and the Veterans Honor Guard.
Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, is assisting the family with arrangements.
