Calling: Saturday, May 25, 2013 - 10 to 11 a.m. in the church **************************************************************** Robert Francis "Bob" Maldeney, 68, of Westler Lake, Wolcottville passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2013, surrounded by his family.

Bob was born July 2, 1944 in Fort Wayne to Francis and Helen (Youtsey) Maldeney. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne in 1962 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Midwestern College. On May 18, 1963, he married Sandra Hechler at St. Peter Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.

A tool and die engineer, Bob worked at CTS Corporation for 25 years before becoming part-owner of Global Tool and Automation. He retired at age 59, and in 2011, he and Sandra moved from Huntertown to Westler Lake.

Bob loved fishing, boating, watching golf and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks, North Carolina and spending winters with his wife in Alabama.

Bob was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City and a former member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra of Westler Lake, Wolcottville; two sons, Robert Francis (Tammy) Maldeney, II of Fort Wayne and Todd Andrew (Linda Bleiler) Maldeney of Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Shannon Maldeney, and Hannah Grimes; two grandsons, Alexander Maldeney and Logan Maldeney; a sister, Shirley (Les) Kerr of Ft. Myers, Florida; and a brother, Bernard "Buck" (Diane) Maldeney of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Aker and Barbara Hogan.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Gaspar Catholic Church, Rome City with Fr. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to St. Gaspar Catholic Church or masses to the church.
