Robert D. Krach, 73, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born October 8, 1951, in Marion, Indiana, to Robert L. and Rosemary (Selch) Krach.

He was a 1970 graduate of Elmhurst High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army.

On July 7, 1978, in Fort Wayne he married Jean K. Adams.

Robert retired from Purdue University where he worked in maintenance.

He was a member of Taylor Chapel Ministries in Fort Wayne.

Robert enjoyed sports, especially basketball, and was a NASCAR fan. He was also in the praise band at his church. But most of all, he dearly loved being with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Krach of Fort Wayne; three daughters, Amy (Richard) McCorkle, Emily Krach, and Angela (Andrew) McComas all of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Faith McCorkle, Caden McCorkle, Edith McComas, and Spencer McComas; two sisters, Betty McKee of Fort Wayne and LeAnn (Steven) Boedeker of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Larissa McCorkle and Cohen McComas.

Visitation will be Monday, November 4, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Taylor Chapel Ministries, 10145 Maysville Road, Fort Wayne.

The funeral service will be Monday, November 4, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Waynedale.

Pallbearers are Andrew McComas, Richard McCorkle, Rick Jay, Kenn Putt, Steve Boedeker, and Tim McComas.

Honor Guard services will be provided by the U.S. Army.

Memorials may be directed to Allen County Disabled American Veterans.
