Obituary

Robert C. "Bob" Keairnes, 56, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born September 21, 1964, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Ronald and Carma (Reardon) Keairnes.

Mr. Keairnes had worked for LandRail Construction Company in LaOtto.

Bob enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing. He especially loved to hunt mushrooms.

Surviving are two daughters, Brittney Keairnes of Fort Wayne and Cheyanne Keairnes of Fort Wayne; his mother and stepfather, Carma and Bill Witwer of Tampa, Florida; a stepson, Nathan Combs of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Quinten Keairnes and Landon Meek; and his long-time companion and fiancé of 25 years, Toby Lockhart of Kendallville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Keairnes.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Billy Fields of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church in Wolcottville officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is suggesting that face masks be worn, but they are not mandatory.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
