Obituary

Robert H. Dixon, 92, of Kendallville died Saturday, October 20, 2018, in Kendallville.

He was born November 5, 1925, in Wichita, Kansas, to Hervy Quincey "HQ" and Dorothy Margaret (Sutton) Dixon.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946.

On November 19, 1946, in Wichita Kansas, he married Margaret Ann Rieniets. She followed him in death on Monday, October 22, 2018.

Mr. Dixon retired as an engineer for National Steel.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Donald) Hines of Winter Park, Florida, and Linda (Michael) Yoder of Avilla; two sons, Robert Bruce (Bonnie) Dixon of Atlanta, Georgia, and David (Laura) Dixon of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Dixon.

Private funeral services for Mr. & Mrs. Dixon will be held at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Honor guard services will be provided by the U.S. Navy.
