Obituary

Robert L. "Bob" DePew, 81, of Rome City died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 3:45 a.m. in his residence.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. DePew was a well driller.

Bob was a member of the American Legion Post Post 381, Rome City.

He was born December 20, 1934 to Leon and Elva (Smart) DePew.

On May 20, 1956 he married Carolyn Cook. She survives in Rome City.

Also surviving are four daughters, Bobbie (David) Likens of Angola, Karen (Tim) Wyss of Albion, Anita Sanchez of Wawaka, and Joy (Jason) Wilkins of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren, Michael Harlan, Felicia (Daniel) Patrick, Shadow (Kyle Walter) Mullins, Corbin Wyss, Kazlan Wyss, Kadan Wyss, Dawson Wilkins, and Evan Wilkins; four great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Wicker, Frankie Wicker, Lydia Walter, and Remington Harlan; a sister, Doris (Keith) Nesbitt of Albion; and a brother, Roger (Penny) DePew of Wolf Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sherri Mullins-Phlegar; and four brothers, Ralph DePew, Larry DePew, David DePew, and John Harold DePew.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Christopher White of Brimfield United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in South Milford Cemetery, South Milford.

Casketbearers will be Tim Wyss, Corbin Wyss, Kadan Wyss, Michael Harlan, Jason Wilkins, and David Likens.

Calling is Wednesday, August 17, 2016, from Noon to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
