Robert C. Cox, 95, of Rome City, Indiana, died Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Avalon Village in Ligonier.  He was born September 5, 1926, in Elkhart Township, Noble County, Indiana, to Charles Robert and Bertha M. (Smith) Cox.    Mr. Cox was a lifetime area resident, having resided in the same home for 65 years.  He had worked in a greenhouse for several years.  He then worked at the Wolcottville IGA for 10 years, Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site, and retired from the Farm Store in Kendallville.  Robert enjoyed gardening.  Surviving are cousins, Chuck and Linda Myers, of Wakarusa; and good friends, Ruth and Orvan Yoder of Rome City.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Regan Ford officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.  Visitation is Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Preferred memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Noble County, 1305 Sherman Street, Kendallville, Indiana, 46755.  Share memories and condolences at www.youngfamilyfuneralhome.com
