Obituary

Robert A. Bollman, 87, of Kendallville died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 7 a.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

He resided for most of his life in Woodruff, and graduated from Wolcottville High School. He had resided at the Chandler House in Kendallville since February 8, 2010.

Mr. Bollman served in the U.S. Army.

He retired from Flint & Walling in Kendallville after 28 years. He had previously worked at McCray Refrigeration in Kendallville until they closed.

Robert was an avid coin collector. He enjoyed the outdoors, walking, and doing yard work. He was a wonderful caretaker to his brother, Ronnie. He visited with Ronnie at Lutheran Life Villages every day until his death in 2008.

He was born July 5, 1924, in Fort Wayne to Arthur A. & Marie E. (Cross) Bollman. On February 22, 1953, in Kendallville he married Patricia Anne Bartlett. She preceded him in death on December 24, 1976.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and William "Skip" Carter of Kendallville.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie Bollman.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Woodruff Cemetery in Woodruff with Pastor Sam Weimer officiating.
