Obituary

Rita E. Herczeg, 93, of Naples, Florida, and formerly of Kendallville died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at her home.

She was born October 10, 1924, in Rome City to Clinton and Ida (Marshall) Zimmerman.

On April 16, 1951, she married Andrew "Andy" Herczeg. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1999.

She had worked at Sellick's and Berhalter Furniture Store, both in Kendallville.

Mrs. Herczeg was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Surviving are two daughters, Amber (Allen Brown) Field of Naples, Florida, and Lin (Ken) Swogger of Kendallville; a grandson, Aaron Field of Greenwood; two step-grandchildren, Cara and Jeff; a nephew, Wesley (Pat) Herczeg of Rome City; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Lisa Nash in 2003; two sisters, Ruth Merriman and Zelma Grady; and three brothers, Don Zimmerman, Harold Zimmerman, and Roy Zimmerman.

There will be no visitation or services.
