Obituary

Rita Sue Combs, 64, of Wawaka died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 4:25 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born March 2, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, to Billy R. and Mildred (Campbell) Adams.

She had worked at the B&S Truck Stop in Rome City as a waitress, Mastercraft in Shipshewana, and NISCO in Topeka.

Rita dearly loved her grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy (James) Fugate of Wawaka; a son, Dustin "Dusty" (Danielle) Combs of Wawaka; four grandchildren, Dillon Stanley, Paige Stanley, Sophia Combs, and Carter Combs; a sister, Teresa (Aaron) Kloepper of Wawaka; and brother-in-law, Skip Altimus of Wawaka.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Altimus.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, 2900 E 1150 N, Wolcottville with Pastor Billy Fields officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Sunday, May 13, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to the family.
