Obituary

Rick A. Marks, 63, of Big Long Lake, Wolcottville died unexpectedly Friday, August 4, 2017, at his residence.

He was born April 9, 1954, in Fort Wayne to James and Evelyn (Biesiada) Marks. His parents preceded him in death.

On September 22, 1973, in Fort Wayne he married Joyce E. Shomo.

He had resided at Big Long Lake since 1984, coming from Fort Wayne.

Mr. Marks had worked as a supervisor for Pepsi-Cola in Fort Wayne.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the Big Long Lake Association.

Rick loved spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He also enjoyed fishing and boating. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart. Rick adored spending time with his cat, Whiskers.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce E. Marks of Big Long Lake; two daughters, Amy (Matt) Hasselman of Fort Wayne and Dawn (Nate) Parker of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Lane Hasselman, Paige Hasselman, Canyon Parker, Carter Hasselman, and Gavin Parker; and two sisters, Karen (Dave) Norden of Wolcottville and Tina (Bob) Zedaker of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Marks, Jr.

There will be no visitation or services.
