Richard Michael "Ric" Jordan, 61, of Wawaka, Indiana, died Sunday, October 15, 2023, at his residence with his family at his side.

He was born May 14, 1962, in Belton, Missouri, to Gordon Michael and Dixie K. (McKee) Jordan. They preceded him in death.

On November 21, 1981, in Kendallville he married Christine Gay Morr.

Mr. Jordan was a commercial truck driver for Ag Trucking in Goshen.

He was a member of the NRA and the Rome City American Legion Sons of the Legion.

Ric loved playing his guitar, especially around a campfire, and had a lifelong love of pets. He enjoyed hunting small game as a kid, deer hunting as an adult, and fishing. But, his main directive in life was spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Christine Jordan of Wawaka; a brother, Ronald B. (Rhonda) Jordan of LaGrange; two sisters, Robin (Lonnie) Ritchie of LaGrange and Radonna "Dee Dee" Sturdivant of LaGrange; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Louis Fowoyo of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.

Pallbearers are Junior Jordan, T.J. Riser, Sammy Riser, Wayne Diehm, III, Michael P. Selby, and Clayton Diehm.

Ric;s funeral service will live stream on the Young Family Funeral Home Facebook page Friday at 11 a.m. for those unable to attend in person.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you set aside time to spend with your family in Ric's memory.
