Obituary

Richard Lee Bullock, 70, of McAllen, Texas, died Monday, February 11, 2008, at his residence. He had been ailing for two years.

Mr. Bullock retired as a Tool and Die Maker with Dana Corporation in 2000 after 39 years. He enjoyed the weather, his many friends, and music. He was a member of the Hoosier Cruiser Motorhome Club, and loved to travel until he moved permanently to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

He was born October 1, 1937, in Wolcottville to Dean and Laura (Murray) Bullock. On January 31, 1985, he married Carol E. Wright in Van Wert, Ohio.

Surviving are his wife, Carol E. Bullock of McAllen, Texas; one daughter, Lori Ehmke of Waterloo, Indiana; one son, Chad Bullock of Bristol, Indiana; three stepsons, David Grone of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Daniel Grone of Sammamish, Washington, and Dale Grone of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 20 grandchildren; three sisters, Elisabeth Malone of Ligonier, Indiana, Ruth Shaw of Three Rivers, Michigan, and Ruby Ferro of LaGrange, Indiana; and his first wife, Sherry Bullock of Waterloo, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Bullock, his mother, Laura Rasler, and two sisters, Carol Bullock, who died as an infant, and N. Joyce Bacon.

Services will be Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 10:30 am at the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Rev. Ralph Diehl officiating. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2008, from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to CIMA Hospice, 5317 N. McColl, McAllen, Texas, 78504.
