Service: Tuesday, August 6, 2013 - 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel

Calling: Tuesday, August 6, 2013 - Noon to 2 p.m. in the funeral home *************************************************************************** Reva Clifton, 85, of Rome City died Friday, August 2, 2013, at 11:19 p.m. in her residence with her family at her side. She shared her home with her grandson and wife, Thom and Samantha Clifton and their family for the last six years.

Reva was a member of New Beginnings Community Church in Fort Wayne.

She had worked at Essex Wire in Ligonier from 1962 to 1973. She also prepared taxes for the people of the community for numerous years.

"Our Mother touched the lives of many people. She loved God and her family foremost. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, nature, and painting. We believe Mother's family extended beyond her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister as she embraced everyone she met and they became family to her. And, she will be greatly missed."

She was born February 21, 1928, in Hardburley, Kentucky, to William and Loretta (Ritchie) Barnett. On February 12, 1947, in Kentucky she married John Clifton, Jr. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2005.

Surviving are two sons, Tim (Cheryl) Clifton of Rome City and Tony (Wendy) Clifton of Bettendorf, Iowa; two daughters, Jean (Gary) Glenn of Melbourne, Florida, and Sherry (Steve) Siewert of LaGrange; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Fugate of Fisty, Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by a son, John Clifton, III; a grandson, John Joseph Clifton; a sister, Geneva Smith; two brothers, Leslie Barnett and Richard Barnett; and two half sisters, Hazel Martin and Ruby Barnett.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Robert Abels of New Beginnings Community Church officiating. Burial of Reva, along with the cremains of her husband John, will be together in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from noon to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
