Rebecca Pearl King, 81, of Stroh, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler.
She was born April 27, 1944, in Martin, Kentucky, to George and Vernie (Whitt) Tuttle.
Rebecca worked for 30 years at Campbell's Mushroom Farm near Brighton and later retired from Best Western in Kendallville, where she served as the breakfast cook. Known for her warmth and hardworking spirit, she was cherished by coworkers, friends, and family alike.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Rebecca deeply loved her family. She found joy in cooking, reading cookbooks, and listening to country music. Over the years she babysat many of her nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly. Family was at the center of her life, and she gave her heart generously.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou (Greg) Collins of David, Kentucky; two sons, Kenneth (Trina) Healey of LaGrange and Wesley Healey of Angola; ten grandchildren, Brittney (Jamie) Messer, Jacob Wilhelm, Jessica Healey, Jeana Healey, Kendel (Austin) Stiverson, Kari Healey, Haley Bolen, Ethan Healey, Heather (Josh) Sparkman, and Kimberly Collins; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Vicki Combs of Stroh; three brothers, Keith Tuttle of Stroh, Ralph Tuttle of Big Turkey Lake, and Wendell Tuttle of Angola; three sisters-in-law, Wilma McCombs of Cypress, California, Glenna Tuttle of LaGrange, and Mary Tuttle of Kendallville; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, which included dogs, Titus, Odie, and Justie and cat, Mere.
She was preceded in death by her husband, DuWan King; four brothers, Willard Tuttle, Hugh Tuttle, Mickey Tuttle, and Jackie Scott; and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Rebecca's funeral service will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Davis officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange.
Honorary pallbearer is Jaimie Becca Messer. Active pallbearers are Wesley Healey, Kenneth Healey, Jacob Wilhelm, Jasmine Messer, Jamie Messer, and Greg Collins.
Memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
