Obituary

Raymond W. Squier Sr., 83, of Ashley died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at his residence.

He was born April 24, 1937, in Corunna to Howard and Dorothy (Faulkner) Squier.

In 1977, he married Joan Scheid in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Squier was a truck driver and he and his wife owned and operated Squier's Launch Service and Resort in Federal Dam, Minnesota, for 25 years.

Raymond enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Squier of Ashley; two daughters, Vickie (Arvil) Bryant of Litchfield, Michigan, and Nancy (Don) Cupp of Selmer, Tennessee; three sons, Danny (Cheri) Squier of Ashley, Brian (Kim) Squier of Hudson, and Timmy (Tracy) Squier of Coldwater, Michigan; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn Spencer of Kendallville, Beverly Smyth of Angola, and Karen (Mark) Tomell of Huson, Montana; and three brothers, Richard (Annis) Squier of Waterloo, Howard (Kathy) Squier of Ocala, Florida, and John (Peg) Squier of Angola.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Squier; and a son, Raymond Squier.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
