Raymond R. Kline, 91, of Brimfield died Thursday, March 03, 2011, at 12:30 a.m. in his residence.
Mr. Kline, a lifetime area resident, was a truck driver for Kendallville Iron & Metal and Kendallville Foundry. He attended St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.
He was born February 20, 1920, in Kendallville to Carl and Marie (Miller) Kline. He was married to Betty Stevens. She preceded him in death. On June 7, 1997, in Ashley, he married Sally L. (James) Diemer.
Ray enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Sally L. Kline of Brimfield; three daughters, Paula Fox of Rome City, Kathy Kline of Rome City, and Roxy Ann Sands of Orlando, Florida; four sons, Sonny Kline of Brimfield, Michael (Emma) Kline of Albion, Steve (Trina) Kline of Albion, and Kent Stevens (Todd Rupert) of Hudson; five stepdaughters, Rebecca (Ronald) Garrison of Collinsville, Illinois, Susan (Ryan) Stalf of Angola, and Carole (Jim) Beechler of LaGrange, Carolyn Williams of LaGrange, and Betty (Jim) Hendrix of Rome City; three stepsons, Pastor Mark (Tami) Diemer of Alexandria, Daniel (Sara) Diemer of Woodburn, and Walter Stevens of Kendallville; 37 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Ousley of Wolcottville and Pat (Dean) Scofield of Howe; and a brother, Frank Kline of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Brad Fox and Neal Sands; two daughters-in-law, Carolyn Kline and Joyce Kline; two stepsons, Matthew David Diemer and Jack Stevens; a sister, Jo Becker; and three brothers, Billy Kline, Carl "Louie" Kline, and Oscar Kline.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Pastor Mark Diemer of the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene, Alexandra and Pastor Paul B. Griebel of St. John Lutheran Church, Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
Casketbearers will be Joshua Shepherd, Kyle Fox, Jay Fox, Luke Kline, Wade Smith,Kass Nicodemus, Ryan Kline, and Michael Kline.
Calling is Sunday, March 6, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
