Obituary

Raymond Jess Fleck, 64, of Rome City died Tuesday, May 18, 2021 as the result of a motorcycle accident near Kendallville.

He was a lifetime area resident, and a 1976 graduate of East Noble High School.

Mr. Fleck was a brick layer and had also worked at Steel Dynamics in Butler as a crane operator.

Jess was a member of the Rome City American Legion Post 381 Sons of the Legion.

He was born October 9, 1956, in Rome City to Norman R. and Danita E. (Adams) Fleck.

On March 21, 1988, in Albion he married Edna DeGuzman. She survives in Rome City.

Also surviving are a son, Daniel Fleck of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Norma Allen of Evansville, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lawrence J. "Larry" Fleck.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 25 2021, at 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jess' funeral service on Tuesday will also live stream on the Young Family Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 6 p.m. for those unable to attend in person.
