Obituary

Ranulfo Salazar Morales, 87, of Kendallville died Friday, January 29, 2021, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

He was born May 27, 1933, in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, to Hermenegildo Salazar and Petra Morales.

On November 27, 1952, in Mexico, he married Juana Jimenez Estevez. She survives in Kendallville.

Mr. Salazar Morales was a farmer. He moved to this area 20 years ago, coming from Mexico.

Also surviving are seven daughters Maria Salazar, Pilar Salazar, Petra Salazar, Gloria Salazar, Isabel Salazar, Carmen Salazar, and Juana M. Salazar; four sons, Enrique Salazar, Jesús Salazar, Sergio Salazar, and Arnulfo Salazar; 49 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister, Escolastica Salazar; and two brothers, Ignacio Salazar and J. Inés Salazar.

He was preceded in death by a son, Hipolito Salazar; and five brothers and sisters, Isidro Salazar, Alvina Salazar, Asunción Salazar, Juan Salazar, and Felicitas Salazar.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 319 E. Diamond Street, Kendallville with Father J. Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Ranulfo's funeral service on Thursday will live stream on the Young Family Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 11 a.m.

Visitation is Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church

Per the Governor, face masks are required.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
