Ramona Days, 86, of Kendallville and formerly of Garrett died Friday, June 8, 2018 at 8:31 a.m. in Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett.
She was born September 27, 1931, in Stroh to Charles and Clara Leola (Hardesty) Zook. She was a 1949 graduate of Salem Center High School.
On May 9, 1954 in Stroh she married Alfred Days. He preceded her in death November 9, 2007.
Ramona had worked at Electric Motors and Specialties in Garrett as a receptionist for 30 years and had also been a hairdresser in Hudson.
Mrs. Days was a member of the Garrett VFW Post 1892 Auxiliary, the Garrett American Legion Post 178 Auxiliary, and the Garrett Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Marilee (Mike) Longardner of LaOtto and Marlene (Dave) Gee of Corunna; a son, Duane (Sue) Days of LaGrange; eight grandchildren, Tracy Lee (Greg) Davis of Garrett, Duane Emanuel (Brandy) Days of Auburn, Frank Days of Avilla, Cynthia Howard of Avilla, Dalton Gee of Brookings, South Dakota, Nicole Days of Kendallville, Michelle Days of Kendallville, Shaun Days of Kendallville, and Farin Carmody of Florida; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Troy Days; and a great-granddaughter, Madisyn Days.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastors Jim Kane and Regan Ford of the First Church of God in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be at the Sedan Cemetery near Corunna.
Calling is Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4 to 8 at the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Thursday.
