Obituary

Rae Shella (Cox) Pierce, 52, of Lafayette and formerly of Kendallville died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at 10:18 a.m. in Rosewalk Village Nursing Home, Lafayette.

She had lived in the Lafayette area for a year. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Harbor of Love Baptist Church in Kendallville.

She was born May 22, 1959, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Odes and Dolly (Sparkman) Cox.

Surviving are three daughters, Lori Henry of Manchester, New Hampshire, Cassie (Craig) Lortie of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Lisa (Matt) Swander of Kendallville; five grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Hicks of Corunna, Lila (Greg) Logan of Dayton, and Rose (Allen) Walter of Ligonier; and three brothers, Leslie (Brenda) Cox of Lackey, Kentucky, Michael (Lisa) Cox of Morehead, Kentucky, and Lionel (Anita) Cox of Corunna.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin granddaughters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Harbor of Love Baptist Church, Kendallville, with Rev. Charlie Mosley. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.

Calling is Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church and from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the services on Wednesday.
