Calling: Sunday, June 8, 2014 - 2 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church ************************************************************************************ Phillip Ryan Millus, 58, of Kendallville died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in the I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis following a six-month illness.
He had lived in this area since 1992, coming from Wheatfield, Indiana.
Mr. Millus had worked at Forest River and Company in Topeka.
Phil was an avid fisherman and horseshoe enthusiast. He enjoyed golfing, going to garage sales, and was quick-witted, having a joke for every occasion.
He was born October 25, 1955, in Gary to Phillip and Valerie (Kiefer) Millus. They survive in Wolcottville.
On December 3, 1977, in Schererville he married Judith M. "Judy" Burwinkel. She survives in Kendallville.
Also surviving are three sons, Craig (Renee) Nagdeman of Chesterton, Eric (Nancy) Nagdeman of Waterbury, Vermont, and Anthony Millus of St. Thomas, USVI ; five grandchildren, Aubrey Nagdeman, Bridget Nagdeman, Ife Millus, Lily Nagdeman, and Gavin Nagdeman; two sisters, Laura (Mark) Miller of Carmel and Rhonda (David) Grant of Rapid City, South Dakota; a brother, Jason (Abby) Millus of LaGrange; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Millus on January 22, 2013.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 9, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City with Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating. Burial will be in St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Calling is Sunday, June 8, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Calling will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association.
