Philip Buck Wren, 84, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Friday, June 27, 2025, in his residence with his family at his side.
He was born February 14, 1941, in Helmer, Indiana, to Kenneth and Mabel (Phillips) Wren.
On July 28, 1962, at the Cedar Lake Church of Christ in Ashley he married Carrol Ann Erwin.
Mr. Wren was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Fort Wayne and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
He had worked as a pressman at Moore Business Forms in Angola and retired as designer of machinery and department manager for Country Kitchen, now CK Productions in Fort Wayne.
Being very artistic, Buck loved to design and build machines. He enjoyed photography and, as a hobby, he liked to plunk on his guitar which his daughter frequently asked him to play. Buck will be dearly missed by his loving family.
Surviving are his wife of over 62 years, Carrol Wren of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Jenney (Bruce) Tuttle of Rome City; a son, Troy J. (Ellen) Wren of Coldwater, Michigan; six grandchildren, Crystal (Andrew) Allen, Tonya Field, Kenny Wren, Cody (Celeste) Field, Arri (Emily) Orewiler, and Ian (Coral Whaley) Orewiler; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robin Jack (Judy) Wren of Fort Wayne and Jim Christopher (Janet) Wren of Angola.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jody Carlos Wren.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel. 612 North Main Street, Hudson.
Buck's funeral service will be Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Campbell of the Northside Church of Christ in Fort Wayne officiating.
Burial will follow at Circle Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bruce Tuttle, Andrew Allen, Kenny Wren, Arri Orewiler, Ian Orewiler, Jaxon Allen, and Izaijah Allen
Memorials may be directed to the Northside Church of Christ, 1230 West Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46825.
