Funeral services will be Monday, June 1, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
Calling is Sunday, May 31, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Monday. ********************************************************************************************* Penny Sue Short, 59, of Wolcottville died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in her residence.
She was a lifetime area resident and a homemaker.
She was born January 27, 1956, in Kendallville to Robert R. and Lucille (Mapes) Eash. Her parents preceded her in death.
On January 18, 1975, in Kendallville she married Felix D. Short, Sr. He survives in Wolcottville.
Also surviving are two daughters, Crystal (Rusty) Lawson of St. Anthony, Idaho, and Shelly (Emilio) Jasso of Wolcottville; two sons, Jimmy (Melissa) Short of Rome City and Felix (Katha) Short, II of Elkhart; 24 grandchildren, Grace Lawson, Sarah Lawson, Emily Lawson, Travis Lawson, Nathan Lawson, Rebecca Lawson, Skylair Short, Christian Short, Gabriel Short, Rita Short, Ariel Smith, Zach Cook, David Short, Brandon Short, Brenden Cook, Jaleanna Short, Talisa (Isaac) Buitron, Natasha (Dario) Suarez, Lashonda Fugate, Francisco Jasso, Emilio Jasso, Jose Jasso, Mayson Jasso, and Aiden Jasso; seven great-grandchildren, Destinee Suarez, Isaiah Suarez, Serenity Suarez, Victoria Buitron, Issac Buitron, Zoe Cook, and Wynter Cook; a sister, Kathy Gayheart of Avilla; and a brother, Michael Cox of Angola.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 1, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with the Rev. Billy Fields of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church in Wolcottville officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Preferred memorials are to Young Family Funeral Home to be used towards a neurology grant.
