Peggy E. Nannenga, 79, of Auburn, Indiana, and formerly of Rome City died Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at her residence with her family at her side.

She was born May 13, 1944, in Hindman, Kentucky, to Harrison and Hazel (Ritchie) Sizemore.

She had worked as a housekeeper at Kneipp Springs in Rome City, but, most recently, was a homemaker.

Peggy enjoyed tending to her flowers and loved animals of any kind.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Ritchie of Auburn; a son, Harrison Ritchie of Auburn; a stepdaughter, Amy (Mike) Stone of Wheatfield; six grandchildren, Daniel Ritchie, Sheena Randol, Sarah Owens, Kylee Ritchie, Emilee (David) Barfell, and Nicholas Ritchie; two step grandchildren, Marie (Nathan) VanHouten and Samantha Miller; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Patrick of Rome City and Edna (Donnie) Patrick of Vest, Kentucky; and three brothers, Ovia (Barb) Sizemore of Martin, Kentucky, Nick (Lou) Sizemore of Rome City, and Paul Sizemore of Rome City.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Ritchie on August 22, 1980; her second husband, Arthur A. Nannenga on October 24, 2005; a daughter, Hazel Jean Ritchie; a son, David Ritchie; a step grandson, Keith Nannenga; two sisters, Laura Prater and Mae Wooten; and a brother, Arnold Sizemore.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Church of the True God, 5685 South State Road 3, Wolcottville and on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Peggy's funeral service will be Monday, February 26, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Larry Anglemyer, Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Pallbearers are Roger Prater, Kenny Carter, Don Cornett, David Barfell, Curtis Miller, and Daniel Ritchie.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
