Paul E. Randol, Sr., 76, of Wolcottville and North Fort Myers, Florida, died Tuesday, August 09, 2011, at 4:55 p.m. in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital in Goshen.

Mr. Randol and his wife lived in Florida for 26 years from 1982 to 2003 and have wintered there since 2003.

He worked at McCray Refrigeration and Newnam Foundry both in Kendallville, Fan Coach in LaGrange, and retired in 2001 from the News Press in Fort Myers, Florida. He was a member of the Wolcottville Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years.

Paul loved his family and was an avid fisherman.

He was born May 10, 1935, in Wolcottville to Elmer and Mable (Law) Randol. On March 26, 1955, in Wolcottville he married Charlene Martin.

Surviving are his wife, Charlene Randol of Wolcottville; a son, Paul (Shelia) Randol, Jr. of Wolcottville; two daughters, Dianna (Jeff) Randol Wilson of Wolcottville, and Laurie Randol of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Toby (Jennifer) Hayward of Topeka, Tatum (Toby) Kissinger of Edon, Ohio, Mark Randol of Wolcottville, Jeremy (Heather) Randol of LaGrange, Jeff (Sheena) Randol of Wolcottville, Tiffany Wallen Randol of Wolcottville, and Crystal Wilkinson of LaGrange; 16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Randol of LaGrange and Gerald DeKay of Sturgis, Michigan; three sisters, Pansey Baker of Brighton, Betty Uptagraft of Fort Wayne, and Mary Ackerman of LaGrange; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rick and Chris Jordan of Wawaka, and Cody Wickline of Garrett.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Karen Randol.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Missionary Frank Combs (Blansett) officiating. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery.

Calling is Friday, August 12, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Preferred memorials are to the Goshen Cancer Center.
