Obituary

Paul F. Ueber, DDS, 80, of Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at 8:30 p.m. at his residence. He was born August 26, 1926, in Fort Wayne to Charles & Esther (Minnick) Ueber. Dr. Ueber has lived at Clear Lake since May, 2006, coming from Adams Lake near Wolcottville where he resided from 1992 to 2006, after purchasing the property in 1961. He was formerly from Fort Wayne. He was a self-employed dentist in Fort Wayne for 34 years, then practiced from his Adams Lake home for 12 years. He retired after 46 years. He had served in the Merchant Marines, was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church at Rome City, Knights of Columbus, Isaac Knapp Dental Society, and American Legion Post 381 in Rome City. He married Sally A. Smith in Fort Wayne on May 30, 1956. His wife, Sally A. Ueber survives at Fremont. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert & Sue Ueber of Fort Wayne and John Ueber of Dayton, Ohio; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Jean M. & Tim Murphy of Columbus, Ohio, Mary and Bill Seltenright of Auburn, Indiana, Karla Ueber of Harlan, Indiana, Anne Ueber of Atlanta, Georgia, and Angela Ueber of Los Angeles, California; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Kern of Clearwater, Florida and Lucille Hire of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Elizabeth Seltenright, three sisters, Mary Margaret Kane, Helen Williamson, and Theresa Lindenburg; and three brothers, Fr. Charles Ueber, John Ueber and James Ueber. Services will be Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City with Fr. Matt Jozebiak and Fr. Richard Hire officiating. Burial will be in St. Gaspar Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 2007, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel. Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Aaron Murphy, Paul Ueber, Don Ueber, Drew Ueber, Joshua Seltenright, Grant Seltenright, Will Seltenright and Gabriel Seltenright. Preferred memorials are Masses, Cameron Hospital Home Health Care, or Bishop Luers High School in Ft. Wayne.
