Obituary

Patricia Ann "Patty" Sturgill, 69, of Hindman, Kentucky, died Saturday, January 24, 2009, in the home of her daughter in Clay City, Kentucky.

Mrs. Sturgill had lived in LaPorte, Indiana, for 22 years prior to moving to Kentucky. She was a homemaker.

She was born November 20, 1939, in Dwarf, Kentucky, to Woots and Nannie (Gayheart) Terry. On July 3, 1955, in Knott County, Kentucky, she married Chester Sturgill. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1976.

Surviving are a daughter, Kitty Sturgill and her companion, Johnny Goodwin of Clay City, Kentucky; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Phillip and Brenda Sturgill of Hindman, Kentucky, and Dennis Sturgill and his companion, Cheryl of Campbellsville, Kentucky; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Elmetta and Austin Slone of Wolcottville, Shirley and Roy Dobson of Brimfield, and Bonnie Jean Ritchie of London, Kentucky; and a brother and sister-in-law, Henderson and Darlene Terry of Brimfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Brenda Sturgill; and a brother, Silas Terry.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Pastor Glen Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery.

Calling will be Tuesday, January 27, 2009, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
