Obituary

Patricia C. Bloomfield, 85, of Rome City went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 12:44 a.m., in Community Hospital Anderson.

She was a lifetime area resident, having lived in the same house for 56 years.

Mrs. Bloomfield retired from Silgan.

Patricia lived her life in service to God and everyone she met. She was a member of LaGrange First Church of God and Parkview Needle Workers.

She was born January 27, 1930, in Fort Wayne to Ralph and Mary Alice Odelia (Havert) Bowser. They preceded her in death.

On May 10, 1947, in Kendallville she married John E. Bloomfield. He preceded her in death, April 1, 2002.

Surviving are four daughters, Rita (Jim) Tritch of Hudson, Rose Stienbarger of Henderson, NC, Joan Keck of Wolcottville, and Renee (David) Perkinson of Anderson; four sons, John (Shirley) Bloomfield of Page, AZ, Jeff (Pam) Bloomfield of Wolcottville, Robert (Deb) Bloomfield of Wolcottville, and Jerry (Ellen) Bloomfield, Northlake, IL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Bowser of Fort Wayne.

She was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Greg Stienbarger and Terry E. "Chopper" Keck; a granddaughter, Christina Gingher, three sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Harold Ferraro of LaGrange First Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Strawser, Eric Keck, Daniel Reinbold, Christopher Smith, Jim Tucker, Harley Luker, and Jeff Bloomfield, Jr.

Calling is Friday, September 18, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Riley Hospital for Children, Muscular Dystrophy Association, or LaGrange Church of God.
