Obituary

Owen "Slim" Maxwell, 80, of Kendallville died Monday, October 14, 2019, at his residence.

He was born June 25, 1939, in Pennsylvania to Norman and Anna (Mose) Haas.

On December 24, 1991, in Kendallville he married Christine Fuller. She preceded him in death on November 28, 2013.

Mr. Maxwell had worked at the Lane Foundry in Kendallville and retired from Foley Pattern in Auburn.

Surviving are a daughter, Rodena Gonzalez of Nevada; a stepdaughter, Bertha Tavey of Nevada; four grandchildren. He also had five sisters and one brother.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Orange Cemetery, Rome City with Pastor Morris Wicker officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
