Obituary

Norman L. Conrad, 74, of Kendallville died Saturday, December 19, 2009, at 9:01 p.m. in his residence.

Mr. Conrad was a lifetime area resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was self-employed as an appliance repairman.

He was born September 26, 1935, in Albion to Shirley and Flossie (Baker) Conrad. On February 4, 1956, in Kendallville he married Donna Trowbridge.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Conrad of Kendallville; a daughter and son-in-law, Glinda "Sue" and Floyd "Sam" Lautzenhiser of Avilla; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Dave and Vicky Conrad of Wolcottville, Richard and Sarah Conrad of Kendallville, Timothy and Cindy Conrad of Wawaka, and Micheal Conrad of Garrett; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and two sisters, Mavis Fulford of Ligonier and Delores Treesh of Kendallville.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert Elwood Conrad, James Melvin Conrad, Charles Edward Conrad, and one sister, Janice Marie Fulford.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Burial will be in Sweet Cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by the Francis Vinyard VFW Post 2749, Kendallville.

Calling will be Tuesday, December 22, 2009, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
