Obituary

Norma Ruth Pankop, 78, of Fort Wayne died Friday, August 26, 2011, at 11:50 a.m. in Select Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She had resided in Fort Wayne for 49 years, coming from Corunna.

She retired in 2001 from W. S. Shamban Seals Division in Fort Wayne after 22 years.

Norma is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.

She was born October 2, 1932, in Corunna to Herman H. and Henrietta Helena (Hasselman) Pankop.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Warren of Fort Wayne; a son, Timothy (Karen) Criswell of Woodburn; five grandchildren, Matthew Fisher, Leah Fisher, Sarah Criswell, Steve Gilland, and Heather White; eight great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; and a brother, Gene Pankop of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Bender and Eleanor Treesh; and three brothers, Don Pankop, Wayne Pankop, and Dale Pankop.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1126 South Barr Street, Fort Wayne, with Pastor Peter Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Corunna.

Calling is Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
