Obituary

Norma J. Lehman Emerick, 82, of Kendallville died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at 1:55 p.m. in Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville.

She was a lifetime area resident. She had worked at King-Seeley in Kendallville, International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Fine Wire in South Milford, and on the family farm.

Mrs. Emerick was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Corunna, and VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary, Kendallville.

She was born April 10, 1930, in Kendallville to Albert and Martha (DeLancey) Hampshire. She was first married to Herman Royal Lehman, the father of her children. On January 22, 2002, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she married R. Stan Emerick.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Nola Jean and Roger Farney of Garrett; two sons and daughters-in-law, Herman Mark and Susan Lehman of Kendallville and Bart Allen and Julie Lehman of LaGrange; a stepson, Rex S. Emerick, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren, Carrie Tibbs, Jeremy Lehman, Samuel Farney, Brittney Marcum, and Stephanie Lehman; two great grandchildren, Olivia Tibbs and Addyson Lehman; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Tina Hampshire of Angola.

She was preceded in death by twin daughters, Terry Jo Lehman and Sherry Lea Lehman who died at birth; and her husband, R. Stan Emerick on April 17, 2008.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Bob Muller of Restoration Lutheran Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Calling is Monday, October 8, 2012, from 2 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
